Just managed to get hold of this magnificent box set which contains her first 40 singles on those cool 3" cds, including a lyrics booklet.

Was wondering though, how much is this box set really worth? It set me back quite a bit on eBay.

And just how rare is it? I once read the set was limited to 4,000 copies available in Japan only, but I'm not sure, was it really THAT limited?

I also can't understand why it was only released in Japan. It really is a beautiful set which any serious Madonna fan would want to own. It does after all contain some of the finest songs in the history of pop music!

So if anyone has any more info on this box set please share, thanks!

yeah it's worth a lot, not sure the amount though.

But if u must know, 350 euros. In great condition. The way I saw it, that's less than a tenner per 3" cd which isn't too bad.

And I can always look upon it as an investment. Given it's supposed rarity and the millions of Madonna fans out there, I'm sure I could always at least get my money back, if I wanted to, or make a nice profit.

And that's kinda why I wanted to know how rare it is, just to be sure.

It's actually quite hard to find on eBay, I eventually got it off some French guy who didn't speak any English.

If memory serves me correctly I think I recall once seeing it listed at 500 euros about a year ago on eBay. But I may be mistaken.

Yeah 40 individual cds, most of them containing just 1 extra track.

I found the most revelatory cd to be "One More Chance" which contained 2 Spanish versions of "You'll See", both of them quite stunning! (if u like that song)

Being a Madge fan myself, i would love to have it. Also it contains "spotlight" which was a single only in Japan. I WANT IT.

I have this box set as well. My friend wanted to buy it off of me... Yeah Right!! Apparently it is out of print and yes a limited amount were made. I've seen a couple places/people selling it for over $500.00. I wonder if they'll be releasing a 2nd one for all the singles that came after?

Looks like a cool set.This set reminds me of another set that I found in the mid-90s.It was a multi-disc box set (4 CDs,I think) containing remixes from the beginning of Madonna's career to the mid-90s.It was extremely rare and I think it was released only in Japan.It was in the import section of my local Tower Records and it was $80.I didn't buy it,but I wish I had.It's now extremely hard to find.It was packaged in all black,looking like a little black box (similar to this singles set).

YOu don't have to list all the single but what was the latest on there and does it start with "Everybody"? Looks cool!
