Finess, YOU TAKIN' IT BACK! I remember that show. It was like a Latino In Living Color. There was also another Latino In Living Color type show that used to air back in L.A. in the early '90s called "Culture Clash" on FOX 11!

On an unrelated note, I LOVED UPTOWN COMEDY CLUB! HAHA!

Wow, I think you are the only other person I know other than my friends that knew that show existed. It was so short-lived.

yeah it was so short. all i remember is it was a latino cast that did comedy skits and they were mostly on stereotypes of latinos. it was either culture clash or uptown comedy club-culture clash seems right.

The first time I became aware of John was not his performance in the great the super mario movie, but in perhaps one of the most underated films I have ever seen, the great "hangin' with the homeboys"!

Depsite it's sily title, this movie perfectly captures the nightlife of urban early 90's.....if u havn't seen it, find it and if u have seen it, then speak up please as i love this movie!

Movie will take u back 4 sure!

yes!

That was a great film. John played his role extremely well as did Doug E. Fresh, Vinny and Mario Joyner. I still remember the scene in the pool hall with Doug E. and a girl talking about politics -- "I'm perpetrating the fraud? You're the one that's perpetrating the fraud!"

Coincidentially, I was trying to find that title on DVD yesterday. I'm going to purchase that online before Christmas.
