Confunkshun vs, Cameo Which is your fav funk band... and why? I really can't choose I like both for diffrent reason I think Cameo was funkier but Confunkshun made better ballads. So who do you choose?

That's a hard choice but I would have to go with Cameo. Both bands are funky as hell and have made some of the baddest slow jams out there, but Cameo has a slightly harder edge. Andy is a four letter word.

Cameo sticks to my ribs more, but only up until about 1982. "Word Up" and post WU era I was never fond of. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I can't decide myself....love them both. I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

Cameo -- by a longshot. I even prefer their ballads: I loved songs like "Love's Train", but to me, "Feel Me" and "Why Have I Lost You" have more staying power, just to name a few.

I'll have to say Cameo, even though I like Confunkshun also.
My favorite Cameo songs are Shake your pants, Flirt, Freaky Dancing, Alligator Woman and Just be Yourself

I love both bands and this is extremely hard for me to choose, but I'm gonna have to go with ConFunkShun. The main reason is,in addition to the funk jams, these guys had some AMAZING ballads and slow jams...
"Let Me Put Love On Your Mind" (1979) "Straight From The Heart" (1981) "Make It Last" (1979) "By Your Side" (1980) "Baby I'm Hooked (Right Into Your Love)" (1983) "Love's Train" (1982) don't get me wrong,Cameo has some killer slow jams as well, but I go crazy over those songs that I listed.

Whew, I used to love the cut Love's Train. That used to be a stone cold jam at the roller rink. Anyway, in the slow jam department, I think Confunkshun might have Cameo beat. However, when it it comes to fast jams hands down Cameo. "That's the way it goes on love's train."

"Straight From The Heart" (1981) This has got to be one of my favorite slow jams of all time. I can listen to it over and over. Andy is a four letter word.
