Travis Baby, Hit Me One More Time that's a great cover. i'll go for Tom Waits - Waltzing Matilda. for completeness, i should also have added, "Tom Traubert's Blues" in the title.

not only one of the best covers, one of the greatest songs ever. Leonard's got a new album out, by the way-I have a thread about it. I love the Travis cover as well-brilliant. I'd have to add The Cardigans' "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" to the list. Interesting and unique take on it.

I rarely come across a good cover, cuz in my opinion the origional song usualy is the best version. It's quite easy to do something different with an already existing song, you don't have to invent it and people will easily take the time to listen to a cover cuz they know the song already...Don't really know if it's clear, what I'm trying to say here, but good covers don't come around that often..

U.K. Girls (Physical) - Goldfrapp. Not strictly a cover because I think only the chorus is taken from the original Olivia Newton John hit.
