Boogie Woogie-Why Do Folks Consider This Genre/Word So Offensive?

I caught the end of a heating discussion in a local radio st. about the genre & the word behind it while I was driving to work. I wish I caught that discussion from the start.

Even tho it comes from Jazz, alot of young black musicians don't want to be associated with it shape or forum.

What do you guys think?

I didn't realize there was a problem. Maybe they don't like it because it's an antiquated term, a term that nobody uses for their music anymore, and therefore not many young folks relate to it. Their grandparent's music...Louis Jordan - who I happen to dig.
This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

Exactly,,,and Big Joe Turner & Pete Johnson and them.
