Concert tickets too expensive?

For years I've been watching how the price of concert tickets are getting higher and higher...Is it ever going to stop?
I mean, here in Holland tickets for a major artist are about 80 euros (That's about the same in Dollars.)!!That's o.k. if you get to see a BIG show, with a lot of show elements and a lot of songs, but e.g.Tom Waits is coming to Holland with 3 other band members, price 90 euros...It's ridiculous!!!
I could say the same for the merchandising:On the ONA tour a Prince T shirt costs about 60 euros, are we freakin' millionaires or something??(a piece of cloth with a print on it,remember?!).And the shirts aren't getting any better,either...Sometimes I hate the whole music industry for that.Their just a bunch of big, easy money makers...

Well, it depends on who's playing. Madonna specifically had ridiculous ticket prices ranging up to 300 and even over that. Since they sold out quickly, the scalpers were asking for unthinkable amounts for the tickets. So that's why i though my tickets were a bargin

But yeah, ticket prices now in days are ridiculous.

Again it depends on what artist/band is playing.

I seen Avril Lavigne tickets go for like 40 dollars and Metallica and Madonna tickets go for over 300 as stated before.

I recently saw three Madonna shows and this is what I paid for each night...

$150
$85
$300 (for a 16th row floor seat)

boxed

I've already accepted the fact that,If I want to see many of my favorite artists in concert,I have to be prepared to shell out some big bucks.Hardly ANYONE charges less than $100 these days.

Oh dont be ashamed, you shelled it out for someone you really enjoyed. Besides, we're all gonna die anyways so what's the point in wasting away your life.

I don't think so, I think concerts are getting worse. They aren't worth the money.

The last one I've been to that was worth the money was SADE' .
(I missed Musicology).

I think the U2s, The STINGS and maybe even Madonna is worth it but everything else seem to be nothing more than long Videos. Why pay $100 dollars to see a string of videos.
