TAYLOR EJECTED FROM LONDON HOTSPOT


DURAN DURAN drummer ROGER TAYLOR was thrown out of a trendy London bar's backdoor after his drunken behaviour angered other drinkers and bar staff.

The ASTRONAUT veteran arrived with three friends at Funky Buddha in the British capital's West End shortly after midnight, and immediately sat down at a table.

But his alcohol-fuelled antics eventually became too much for staff and customers, according to Britain's DAILY MIRROR newspaper.

An onlooker recalls, "Roger was obviously worse for wear when he got there and his mates were at the bar, demanding free bottles of champagne. They kept ranting on, 'Don't you know who he is?'

"They were kicked out around a quarter to one in the morning. Roger was so drunk he was all over the place."

A spokesperson for the 44-year-old says, "Roger went out for a few drinks with a friend, and a couple of guys he didn't know ended up tagging along. The hangers-on got a bit over-excited in the bar, but Roger doesn't recall being asked to leave."

So,what's the big deal??If he was the first who did that,that would be something
to start a thread with,but since so many 'rock stars' do that drinking-thing all the time,it ain't that special...I've heard too many stories about stars smashing and thrashing up places,and come to think of it,it's never really that special. You try to do the same and they'll lock you up for one night or so..

Maybe the big deal is that it was Roger as opposed to let's say Andy or Simon. Sure it happens more times than not with musicians/celebrities. But it's Roger! You know what they say about the quiet ones...
