George Michael "I want your sex" Vs Prince "Kiss"

These 2 songs do sound simular don't they? I prefer "I want ur sex", I lve all the adlibs and the "whoa, sex, I;m not ur brother! Whoa, sex, Iam not ur sister" etc..... at the end!

"kiss" is a track i can never get around, and Tom Kones' version is beeter in my opinion!

anyway what do u prefer anf y?

I don't see any similarity. "I Want Your Sex" always reminded me more of something Camille would do.

But anyway, to answer your question, I'd have to say I like the songs about equally. Not among my favorites by either, but undeniably classic.

I reckon Prince's answer to "I want ur sex" was "ahlphabet street"? Production and sexy vocals simular? I could see George singing this song easy!

I think it was actually Prince's answer to "Faith", but I could be wrong.

Put any extended version of any Prince song against any song by anyone else and Prince is bound to win.

I feel exactly the same way. The "Kiss" 12 Inch is much better than the original. As for "Kiss" in general, I like "I Want Your Sex" almost as much as "Kiss" but not quite as much.

It's a very hard choice for me because I really love "I Want Your Sex".

Don't choose. Take both and boogie.

I dunno, I always thought that "I want your sex" was more based on "Sign O' the times"... George just put more "flesh" over the basic riddim structure, spiced up the instrumentation to make it more fitting for mainstrem radio.

anyway, I dig all of'em, but Kiss 12" would come out as my No 1
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

I prefer Kiss but they're both great songs. There was an obvious Prince influence on GM's Faith album. Mixed in with some MJ and Bee Gees.

George Michael should sing that song again but make it gay hardcore.

although it isn't very very likely that a gay man will refuse sex.

well, i mean, i wouldn't. unless the man is ugly.

what am i saying ?
yes SIR!

I think song is sexy and maybe camp but in a hetrosexual way unlike the wham stuff.....same with Prince's "kiss" of course....infact that song is way camper!

I wasn't saying it's like Wham! in any way, just that it was his corniest song since then.

"Kiss" isn't a great song lyrically...the arrangement is its strength.

I can't stand Tom Jones' music, but I like the art of noise's production over the song compared to prince's!

I can see the similarities between the two, and I like them about equally. But I don't think I Want Your Sex is any more campy than is Kiss. I think they both work the camp and minimalism excellently!

WELL I THINK IT SHOULD BE " KISS " Vs. " SKIN TRADE" by Duran Duran

because since Skin trade came out way b4 I think

Prince Stole the Energy of the song and made it into KISS

because as the storys goes ...

The bass player was messing around with it already and prince asked them if HE could have it and I think he decided this after hearing SKIN TRADE

he then knew where to take the song....

He just made it sound more Pretencious than Duran Duran ...Notice I am not saying better.
