All time WORST musical/movie starring a musical artist some singers turn out to be marginally good actors/actresses (harry connick jr, whitney houston, cher), and some movies have some redeeming value (Krush Groove gave us LL Cool J, a nice Sheila E performance and some other goodies to overcome horrible acting)..but some movies are such a waste of film that they should be destroyed. feel free to add to the list:
Mariah Carey-Glitter Prince-Grafitti Bridge Madonna- take your pick Run Dmc - Tougher Than Leather you look better on your facebook page than you do in person

Sorry, but fucking Mariah wins this vote. Even the teaser trailer is harder to watch than anything in Graffiti Bridge (and man, that's saying something!!!)!!! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Does 'Gigli' count? Jennifer Lopez was an actress before she was a recording artist so I'm not sure if her crappy movies fit into this thread. If they do then where do you draw the line among all the actors that have recorded albums?

But janet really was painful to watch trying so hard to be "down" (I mean a hairdresser good God)in that movie it really was. I expected much better from her.

Yeah, but the film as a whole reached new levels of sucking. whatever happened to (director) Julien Temple, he had such a promising future up to this movie. WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? I think the biggest difference between The Wiz and Grafitti Bridge was that The Wiz kinda sunk under the weight of comparison to The Wizard of Oz despite the big budget and huge names involved in the project, while Grafitti Bridge, using a budget of loose coins and snot just stunk.
Amazon.com Directed by Sidney Lumet (Serpico) and penned by Joel Schumacher (Batman and Robin), this lavish 1978 adaptation of the Broadway hit The Wiz was the biggest production filmed in New York City up to that point, utilizing the newly revamped Astoria Studios and locations around the city. Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsey Russell, and Ted Ross (reprising his Tony-winning role as the Lion) star in this Academy Award-nominated musical for the whole family. The Wiz is probably the grandest take on L. Frank Baum's classic tale The Wizard of Oz. The production team created sets with a sense of urban magic and spectacle: a New York subway station literally comes to life, and the massive plaza between the World Trade Center towers is transformed into the Emerald City, featuring nearly 400 dancers with three costume changes. Like all good musicals, the Quincy Jones arrangements are highly hummable long after viewing (especially the funky "Ease On Down the Road" and the inspirational "Brand New Day"). In an era before MTV, the camera stays nearly stationary as Ross and Lena Horne vocally soar through their numbers. Their stage-like performances successfully make the leap to film, making The Wiz a testament to their singing talents and star presence. The then-thirtysomething Ross raised some eyebrows playing the traditionally teenaged Dorothy, but she and her supporting cast (including Richard Pryor as the Wiz) carry the tunes with an infectious verve that will appeal to folks of all ages. --Shannon Gee Diana Ross ....
