Probably flip-flopped on some of the song titles (known to happen), and some bound to be b-sides (Mary J. Blige collabo).

Yeah, and it looks like she recorded enough tracks for a double CD! The other songs could re-surface as B-sides or appear on a "special edition" CD of her album, which many artists seem to be doing these days (Usher,Norah Jones, etc).

Ah, tis the world of marketing. Gotta love it!

"Parental Advisory"
"Crash"
"Listen Closely" with Missy Elliott
"Can't Stop The Music"

I dont think the song is nothing memorable or makes me want to wanna run and get it if I didnt know whom she was collaborating with.

Im going to get it because it should be a good album despite a "ok" single.

The only thing I've heard about Martin working on, outside of his own projects, is the new Madonna album.

Hey Gwen, why are you upset with the producer your LABEL HIRED FOR YOUR PROJECT SINCE YOU WEREN'T IN CONTROL OF IT YOURSELF. You should actually be angry at a) yourself, for not having complete control over this record and b) your label, for fucking you over, if that's what you believe happened. Don't go blaming Linda for doing her job.

Great point! Why would someone in her position want to do a solo album like this anyway? I think it sucks that she is collaborating with others. If she wanted to do a solo album so badly, then why does she need all these others? What's wrong with the boys in No Doubt?? rolleyes

I agree.Gwen really should have held her ground and insisted that SHE would choose the producers/songwriters for her album.By now,Gwen has enough "clout" to make the artistic decisions for herself. She should have asked her pal Madonna about artistic freedom and how to get it.

lol i dont think she needs to be the next anything...shes a fine singer, writer(when not being forced with linda perry),live performer, etc. but i do see the comparisons sometimes.am having a hard time believing she was "forced" to work with l.perry.... cause on making the video she went into detail about the song. and how it was about her taking so long to record the album,etc...she didnt sound like she was upset about it. smile

Well some of the media seems to be on quest to make Gwen look like a snoot.

No star treatment for Gwen
11/4/2004
http://www.dehavilland.co...category=1

Gwen Stefani, who fronts pop band No Doubt, missed being treated like a star when she read for her first movie role.

Stefani will appear as Jean Harlow in The Aviator, Martin Scorsese's biopic of eccentric entrepreneur Howard Hughes.

Her part was confined to just one page of the script and she only had a single line to read.

But Stefani said she felt "humiliated" when she was not given the sort of treatment she has come to expect as a successful recording artist.

"It was humiliating because you get used to being a star," Stefani admitted.

The singer is however keen to pursue a movie career and is on the look out for more substantial roles.

The Aviator, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale, is due for release later this year.

Regarding the Gwen/Linda Perry thing, if you look at the interview on the sessions at AOL link that someone provided, she talks about the whole thing. If you look at it, it looks like her comments were taken out of context because she doesn't sound mad or forced at all.

This was released by the same news source> Makes me wonder if a reporter has a bone to pick with Stefani. They're making her sound like a spoiled bitch.

Stefani's Last Minute Pharrell Track
November 10, 2004 - World Entertainment News Network

No Doubt star Gwen Stefani was furious with her record company when she realised they hadn't scheduled Pharrell Williams to appear on her debut solo album.

The sexy blonde had finished recording Love, Angel, Music, Baby when she discovered she hadn't worked with the N*e*r*d singer and Neptunes producer.

Stefani says, "I said, 'Dude, why the f**k isn't Pharrell on the record? He's going to be so bummed out when it comes out and he's not on it."

So, Stefani hopped on a plane to New York and promptly recorded That's The Way with Williams and fellow Neptune Chad Hugo.

Williams and Hugo previously contributed to the hit song Hella Good for No Doubt's 2002 album Rock Steady.

Lol...this story gets crazier and crazier lol

This is one time when Gwen should have been a BITCH,and went up to her record company bosses and said "You know what, this is MY album and I will decide who I work with and what songs make the final tracklist!".Have some balls!
