Duke Ellington Appreciation Thread I think I've determined that Duke is one of, if not my very favorite musical artist of all time. Sometimes I don't want to imagine a world where his music didn't exist. No one could be so classy, so intense, so joyous and so refined all at once in his music.

Sir Duke! Just amazing and I never get tired of listening.
Maybe a list of all of the artists that wouldn't exist with Duke Ellington.

Duke Ellington was such a genious.
1 of the greatest ever! His music is timeless & his funky pianoplaying ahead of it's time.So many of his songs R classics. 1 of my favourite albums is the album Money Jungle he did with Max Roach on drums & Charlie Mingus on bass. /peace Manki
