did DMC lose his voice? it seems everytime i see DMC on tv his voice sounds worse and worse ..i dont remember him talking like that before,,,,did he blow out his vocal cords or something? yep he did on behind the music he said his voice got really deep and he was afraid to go to the studio and record with the other 2 | |

i also remember hearing a while back that he was going to record a solo album. i would be interested in hearing it, if it ever comes out. he has an eclectic taste in music. | |

Didn't he damage his chords from all the yelling he did while on tour with Run DMC? I heard that he actually encouraged a lot of rappers like Ja Rule and 50 Teef to refrain from yelling in the mic because it can do some serious damage to your chords over the years (not to mention that the audience itsn't too wild about hearing you yell instructions to them). | |

Well, I vaguely remember him addressing the voice issue on the VH1 Behind The Music Special. A while back, if I am not mistaken, it was indicated on the show that DMC had a stroke and had to go through therapy. | |
