best album covers ever I don't have any pics and part of the motivation for posting this was to see things that I might want to get posters of, but anyway, that being said...what do you think are the greatest album covers of all time. (Please someone post some good Miles Davis album covers in the vein of Bitches Brew if you got 'em). | |

OH WHAT A POST! I love album covers and Miles D. has some good ones!!! Oh! R.L. Burnside has some nice covers (sorry, I have no photos. Just go to an online record store and look at the covers). OH! North Mississippi Allstars have nice covers, too. Oh, I get my best short story ideas by just looking at their covers! Oh, I love the cover for John Mayer's latest cd and I like the cover for Coltrane's THE GENTLE SIDE OF COLTRANE. Oh yeah, NINA SIMONE has the best covers!!! *(Zappa covers repost)
Based on sheer numbers alone, much like his reverse counterpart James Brown , Frank Zappa should get the King of the Cool Album Cover award. Again, like James Brown, this will have to get divided up into decades. Just personal favourites - I make no pretense of any sort that these are the greatest covers ever created.
