NIKKA COSTA live...U seen her??? Prince would B proud!

I've seen her twice in the last month and she is just an amazing performer live and her band is so damn funky! If she added a full horn section..I would probably wet myself! Her brilliant album EVERYBODY GOT THEIR SOMETHING truly comes alive...esp. "Tug of War" and "Some Kind of Beautifl"....I know she did the Prince Celebration last year.....I swear she could pass as Prince's daughter if he ever had one...(ethicities aside on this one guys LOL)

Anyone else catch her live??? She leaves all the pop princesses way out in the dust with their dried up tounges hitting the ground.....
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

He definitely would be proud. I got to see her when she opened for Erykah Badu in Chicago; awesome show! I also got to talk with her backstage and she told me how nervous she was to perform in front of Prince at last year's Celebration. She was very cool and is very talented.

I missed her the first time she hit Philly and forgot the 2nd time. SOMEONE, namely you, forgot to remind Mr PrisonBytch! But I still love ya!

If you missed her, just make sure you get the cd. Its fantastic. And yes it is a shame she (and Angie Stone) weren't recognized at the Grammy's.

I wish more people would learn that...
How many more consumer sheep do we need 'valuing' a Grammy, when it is nothing more than a pat on the back from the industry, and all the political pressure associated with sales & promotion. The only thing that matters is that the right music reaches the people that need it...fairly (ie. no Payola), and what the people think of it. Awards are for sheep that buy things on 'status' rather than the music's merits.

Yeah Nikka got in goin on live~ She's a very good show & I was diggin her funky ways~ Its always koo 2 watch acts like her Alicia Keys & Nelley Furtado, when they very first hit the US touring scene. Seeing them in smaller venues gives U a great feel 4 what they represent...
