SOULWAX- ANY MINUTE NOW

I love this new album by the guys most Americans know as 2 Many DJ's.

So, has anyone heard this album? What do you think?

Musically this band sounds like I would want to hear Prince; in touch with electronics again. Their music is rockier than Prince's ever was, but I love it. Wish Prince would listen to this!

It's like a bit of Bowie, a bit of Prince and as soon as I can pinpoint the singer's voice properly I can tell you it's a bit sumthing sumthin!

But TRES Soulwax! Love it!

I havent heard a bad song yet!

I was kinda dissapointed by this album..after all the hype & shit.
It sounds a bit 2 deliberate, their work in the DJ field has obviously
influenced their sound as a band.. I don't think it's entirely effective.

Can't wait 4 the new dEUS cool

OOH! dEUS! Belgium's GODS!

Anyways. I did not follow the hype and shit, so to me this album just sounds fresh and I really like the dance influence on some of the songs. That is what makes it sound fresh to me...

They're a band fronted by Tim Vanhaemel who was a member of dEUS
at one point..Anyway Their album 'Outside The Simian Flock' is
the shit! If u like Soulwax & dEUS, then I'm 100% u'll love this album.
U should definitely check out their song 'Come with You' it has this
Prince vibe..That redhead from 'Queens of the Stoneage' is a huge
fan he started a side-project band with Vanhaemel & vouched 2 get
them a US. record deal..

Marco hipped me to "Come With You" over two years ago.

You'll love it.

The roller-skating video is "Champagne".

I've listened to their new album in 'de fnac': I have to say I liked their previous albums more. THis one sounded so hard and loud! I like the softer songs
more (caramel etc).
I do like the song 'any minute now' now, but only after a few times listening.

Anyway, thanks to their covers of 'starfish and coffee' and 'pop life' I found out that Prince has some pretty fine stuff wink
