Hell, it doesn't surprise me. I knew this wanna be rapper was nothing but a poser like the rest of his Dre clone buddies (50 Cent and his crew). Most of the rappers of today lack talent. Nothing surprises me anymore.

No, that really did surprise me. A lot.

I've seen Eminem on SNL before and he didn't lip sync at all in previous episodes. He was good live, too.

Overall, I think he's a talented writer and performer. He's been proving himself for several years in an industry that, let's face it, is not usually accepting of white guys from the mid-west.

Okay, now I'm really confused.

Why did he lip-sync the first song, and not the second one? It's not like Mosh is more technically demanding or something. Weird.

funny....50 cent and dre were just on 106 and park, when they finished playing a LL cool J video, 50 had some bullshit to say about LL but when the audience got quiet and Frees and Ajs face was all like eek 50 had to clean it up quickly....

Here we go again. After last week, I thought Em would at least be on his toes, but when the mic came down and clearly the words still rang out, i could not believe it. Lip syncing a rap song. Pathetic

^^^Yep. Posers in more ways than one also.

Eminem rides Tupac's dick (who was a black militant btw) like he was his son in interviews, but has 100's of racist songs in the closet defaming blacks. That = poser shit.

50 cent claimed to have done 3 out of a 9 year prison stretch in the song "Wanksta" for crack distribution, which in reality turned out to be 7 months in a boot camp. That = poser shit.

I always thought Eminem sucked anyway, so this doesn't surprise me either.

SNL was SOO funny last night.
They took about 100 jabs at Ashlee.

From Kate's opening song to the Bin Laden tape to the News cast. Loved when "Elton John" sany Ashless Simpson is a phoney, Acid Refux is Baloney ... and he said don't blame the band because it's bad enough they have to play for you.

They got her good.
Anyway, with all the heat on the Ashlee flop, I was really surprised to see Eminem lip sync.

He did lip sync the second song though (Just Lose It).

The first song was so boring I could not force myself pay attention. I just surfed the Net, but did look up in time to see him play lobbyist and put up that Vote sign at the end.

But on Just Lose his lip synching is obvious on the "ah,ah,ah, ah" screaming parts. He does some of them and at other times just let the tape do it while his mouth isn't moving. And he missed a couple of rap phrases (several towards the end) that the tape picked up for him too.

If you've got it on tape, Watch. He did lip synch the second song.

Lame.

First he accuses of the pop artsts of being fake..then look at him right after Ashlee lol

Anyway that's still my homeboy, but come on...a rapper never needs 2 lip sync.

Sure he's got some talent but his fame isn't proportional to that talent. He's also a gimmicky type of rapper and once it gets old, it gets OLD. I do agree that he's met resistance because of his color as well, and hence he gets more criticism than he probably should. In the end, he probably won't go down like the Beastie Boys who have paid even more dues, who don't rely on shock value, and also have the voice (MCA) of a good rapper.

Maybe I would see it differently if I were younger and weren't put off by his trashy material. I don't care for most of Tupac's work for the same reason. Atleast with Tupac there was a little balance between the negative and positive and he had a good voice to go with it.

I think it was. As I said above, he didn't lip-sync the second song, but there was no reason to lip sync one and not the other. I think it might have been a joke.

lol Yeah, I don't think it was a joke. He looked serious. If he was joking he might have made a mockery out of it. My only guess as to why he did lip-sync was because the recorded vocals had a certain effect on them. Maybe that couldn't have been done live?

It was so funny how both times he took the mic away from his mouth, the camera was on him close up. The first time one word played, the second time a whole phrase continued with the mic away from his face. It was very clear that he was lipsyncing. He wasn't moving around much either, so it did seem kind of unnecessary to lip sync.

I thought he did the second one live, or at least live to a guide vocal track.
