I'll add more humour 2 this thread....

While performing last week here in St. Louis R. Kelly walked off the stage and cut his set short...said he wanted a bite 2 eat...

So Mr. Kelly makes a trip to the Mc Donalds near downtown St. Louis.....and works the drivethru window eek

For three hours....

Kelly worked drivethru..paid for everyone's meals....then headed across the bridge over to East St. Louis (May God bless his soul for tht one) and partyed at the Rio club....

This is ALL true.....

THe plot thickens....

By LARRY McSHANE, Associated Press Writer

NEW YORK - R&B singer R. Kelly was kicked off a tour with rapper Jay-Z Saturday, one day after Kelly walked offstage during a performance and allegedly was blasted with pepper spray by a member of Jay-Z's entourage.

Jeff Sharp, a contractor with tour promoter Atlanta World Wide Touring, confirmed that Kelly had been removed from the tour, but would not comment on the reason.

"The fans deserve better than this," Kelly said in a statement. "I'd like the show to go on. It's really disappointing that Jay-Z and the promoter don't."

Jay-Z and R. Kelly were in the midst of a 40-city "Best of Both Worlds" tour, scheduled to run through Nov. 28. The tour has been beset by canceled shows and reports that the feuding performers weren't even on speaking terms.

Sharp said Jay-Z would perform shows planned for Saturday and Monday at Madison Square Garden, but he did not know if the rapper would finish the tour as a solo act, or if the tour was simply finished.

The pepper-spray incident happened about an hour into Friday night's show, when Kelly walked on stage and said he saw two people in the audience waving guns, said Kelly's publicist, Allan Mayer. Kelly abruptly stopped his set around 9:30 p.m. while arena security employees searched for weapons.

Finding none, guards told Kelly it was safe to continue performing, Mayer said. But as the singer was making his way back to the stage, a man in Jay-Z's entourage — apparently miffed that Kelly interrupted the show — sprayed him and two of his bodyguards in the face, Mayer said.

"I'm pretty sure Jay didn't realize what was going on," Mayer said.

All three men were treated at St. Vincent's Hospital and released, he said. Jay-Z performed for another 45 minutes after Kelly was sprayed.

Jana Fleishman, publicist for Jay-Z, said Saturday that the rapper's entourage knew nothing about the incident because it occurred while Jay-Z was performing. Jay-Z "did not attack R. Kelly in any way, shape or form," Fleishman said.

In a radio interview on Hot 97 FM radio Friday, Jay-Z said he couldn't understand why Kelly left the stage.

"You can't get a gun inside Madison Square Garden," the rapper said. "If people give me love he can't take it."

Mayer said Kelly's lawyers were filing a criminal complaint against the man who allegedly sprayed him and also were considering legal action over the decision to remove the singer from the remaining tour dates.

"We're considering all possible ways of protecting Robert's interests," Mayer said.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported discord between the two performers after Kelly showed up more than two hours late for a show in Chicago and walked off the stage mid-performance in St. Louis this month.

Three shows on the tour were canceled because of "technical difficulties" suffered by Kelly, Fleishman said.

Stuff like this isn't new.

When Lil Kim and Foxy Brown were on Puff Daddy's No Way Out tour they didn't get along either. I've heard so many reports of them sabotaging each other's sets, bad mouthing each other onstage, entourage scuffles, "no eye contact" rule, etc.

But I don't think Jay-Z would stoop that low -- besides, he wanted to put on this tour.

R. Kelly doesn't like how Jay-Z receives top billing and gets more love. When R comes out a lot of times, people boo. So the mist of mace filled the air.

Understandable, given the guy's as good as a convicted paedophile. I'm surprised he even dared go on tour at all.

its too bad that r is upset over jay getting top billing, but i guess thats what happens when he messes with 14 year old girls. he can't blame anyone but himself confused

Why in the hell are these two working together at all. Don't they make more money with solo projects. And what about Jay-Z being retired? This just don't make no sense (or cents, not that the show is cancelled and with this new controversy, this new CD will probably sell even less than the last one). Unfinished Business? I'm pretty damn sure it's done now!

I think Jay-Z said it best in his post-concert interview with HOT 97. When he comes on stage people get crunk to tracks like "Can I Get A," "Ain't No N***," "Big Pimpin'," "I Just Wanna Luv U," etc. People can't get crunk to "Seems Like Ya Ready" or "I Believe I Can Fly." mad

R was heated by that.

Anyone who's seen me post on R. Kelly threads in the past know that I'm not his biggest fan, however it would seem that this was a security issue. Regardless of how I feel about R. as an entertainer, I wouldn't wish getting shot or harmed on stage on any performer. If he saw what he perceived to be a weapon, he did the right thing by leaving. Jay-Z's interview was very anger-filled and unprofessional. Even his gibe with that "It seems like you're ready" comment was out of line. Both of them are spoiled, rich millionaires, but Jay reacted like a broke ass amateur. Making personal references, bringing up technical issues from other shows, using geographical locations as excuses. ("He don't love New York", etc.), comparing who gets more love in which cities and all of that was highly uncalled for. Angie "the instigator" Martinez was of no help either. This all seemed a bit too contrived for me no to wonder if any of this was set up. All of a sudden Usher, Mary J. Blige and Ja Rule are there ready to perform in Kelly's place? hmm I gotta say; sounds funny. It seems this tour was poorly planned as is and these guys are proving that neither of them are the best of any world. Angie Martinez rode Jay's dick like a porn star. She should have been as unbiased as possible and tried to get the truth instead of uncouraging Jay to act a fool. Jay may be good at wtiting rhymes, but he sucks as a professional performer. There is a time & place for dissing Kelly. Day 1 of a 3 day tour at the Gardens is NOT the place. After the tour, he could write a book about the whole ordeal; during the tour, he should have STFU and made his money and held up his own end. Since I don't care much for either of them, I could really care less, but security issues should be important to all performers involved. R.'s interview was how a professional is supposed to conduct business. Despite Angie's attempts to instigate, R didn't have any venom towards Jay-Z despite his heated comments. He even said he'd be glad to continue on with the tour, even though its pretty obvious these guys have no real love for each other. Regardless of how good you think you are, there is a time to handle business professionally and "just do it". For somebody who supposedly retired from the game, Jay-Z sure is a picky thing, isn't he? lol

I think you've nailed it right on the head. I'm not a fan of either, but I have been following the news of this tour. I believe that Jay-Z has a problem with R and has done whatever it takes to get rid of him. It seems quite fishy that others would be there ready to perform. Being there isn't the odd thing, being ready to perform is. What about wardrobe, sound check and all of that. Sounds like a set up to me. Jay-Z needs to be brought down a notch or two. He seems like an asshole.
