I think Janet is ready to release a second compilation

What do you think.
I mean, she's had like 3 albums since DOAD. And maybe she could include more hits from her "Janet" album.
And maybe top it off with some creamy bonus tracks.

What do you think?

She's been ready for another compilation! Here's my tracklist, in no order:

1. That's the Way Love Goes (I don't care if it was on DOAD)
2. Again
3. Any Time, Any Place
4. You Want This
5. Because of Love
6. If
7. Got 'til it's Gone
8. Together Again
9. Go Deep
10. Every Time
11. You
12. All For You
13. Son of a Gun
14. Someone to Call My Lover
15. Doesn't Really Matter
16. I Want You
17. All Nite (Don't Stop)
18. Just a Little While
19. *New Track*
20. *New Track*
21. *New Track*

And maybe throw a couple of really hot house-infused remixes, stay away from more R&B-type mixes.
'Cause your friends don't dance, and if they don't dance... well, they're no friends of mine.

What do you think she would call it? Do you think she would actually do what Madonna did back in 2001 with GHV2?

Looks like a good tracklisting but what about all the callobs Janet has done in the ninties (mostly between TVR and AFY). "What's It Gonna Be" was the only major hit but the songs with Shaggy and Beanie Man did well too. NOne of them were very memorable Janet songs though. I was thinking that it would be a great time for a compliation considering the hastily released DVD (which seems to a symbol of the end of promotion for DJ). If she does release a greatest hits, I hope it has a really hot single and sells very well, just as a big F U to her critics.

seems pretty straightforward, if you're looking for a tracklist...

01 That's The Way Love Goes
02 If
03 Again
04 Because Of Love
05 Anytime, Anyplace
06 You Want This (remix w/ MC Lyte)
07 Got Til It's Gone
08 Together Again
09 Go Deep
10 I Get Lonely (remix w/ Blackstreet)
11 Everytime
12 Doesn't Really Matter
13 All For You
14 Someone To Call My Lover
15 Son Of A Gun (remix w/ Missy)
16 Come On Get Up
17 Just A Little While
18 I Want You
19 All Nite (Don't Stop)
20 **new track**

all single mixes/edits of course. except ATAP... please just use an edit and not that god-awful R. Kelly remix.

Pretty much just an edit. Runs 4:36. I'm pretty sure it's the same track they used for the video, although I can't be certain since I haven't watched it in a while.

You had a commercial release in Japan and a promo release in Europe, but the promo was withdrawn and the release was cancelled.

I really don't think Janet's collaborations are her best work, and I don't think they need to be included. Just my opinion.

Also, I forgot to add "I Get Lonely".

Word on the street: The "From janet. to Damita Jo" DVD is going to be released as a CD in 2005. Don't know how concrete that is, but that's what's currently circulating in the rumormills.

Also, lots of people are telling me that there's going to be a "Damita Jo - The Remixes" CD coming out in 2005. This will be Janet's first remix CD since "janet. Remixed" in 1994. It's dance oriented. Remixes have already been recorded by Tony Moran, Chris Cox, etc. It should be hot.

Plus, Janet IS going on tour next year.

You ain't seen nothing yet.

careful... isn't that what MJ said at the World Music Awards shortly before his life and career crashed and burned? you may want to pick another saying in regards to Janet.

I remember The Velvet Rope Australian Edition. I want to slap myself several times for not buying it back in 1999 when I saw an import copy. I haven't seen that item since.
