Tori Amos: Scarlet's Hidden Treasures

cool

01. Ruby Through The Looking Glass
02. Seaside
03. Bug a Martini
04. Apollo's Frock
05. Tombigbee
06. Indian Summer

I can't remember seeing any mention of this on the org so far.
Mind you, I probably missed it since I didn't come by here too
often at the time the dvd/cd set was first released.

Anywho. I like these songs a lot. My fav is still "Seaside" cuz
it's simply so beautiful and stripped down.

I had to laugh as she gave sand a bath

I wish she would have released more songs on this disc tho. It
could have easily done with some more tracks. The exclusion of
the other "Scarlet" websongs/bsides struck me as odd.

Still it's an very good little EP, or, as I like to listen to it:

01. Ruby Through The Looking Glass
02. Seaside
03. Operation Peter Pan
04. Bug A Martini
05. Mountain
06. Apollo's Frock
07. Angels
08. Tombigbee
09. Snow Cherries From France
10. Indian Summer

a very good album indeed

They're all awesome. Tombigbee is kinda funked out. And Indian Summer is an anthem.

Good stuff.... I was also highly dismayed that Mountain in particular was not included. But hey... still a great little treat for fans.

You could even add the 2 songs she did for that Julia Roberts movie... i forget the name... they would work, I think... give it a bit of a nice feel

its funny this thread should pop up...cuz tori's been workin' my hidden treasures all day!! nod

i've been listening to all the b sides (from little earthquakes to now) on random all day. i had an oral argument to prepare and present today and tori gives me that added "uumph" to get the job done right.

though, i must say snow cherries from france may be my least favorite b side. there's just something missing there for me. regardless, that's an awfully nice collection you've got there, istenszek! good taste in music (as usual) smile

Yes, indeed. I thought about that myself. I think "you belong to me" would
fit very well right after "Bug A Martini". I'm not too sure about "murder"
though -I'm still trying to get into that one.

i have to say TomBigBee is my favorite... i assume since Tori performed it so many times on her last tour, that she would agree with me. Tori and I are always on the same wavelength. wink

That makes sense, because I haven't heard Strange Little Girls. But so far, she's hitting home runs all the way!

SLG is not my favorite, but there are some GREAT moments, especially I Don't Like Mondays. I could not stop playing that song when it came out.

It's an addictive grower.

Didn't leave my CD player for a few weeks if not more.

Love it-especially Bonnie and Clyde.

That song freaks me out. I can't listen to that very often.
