I remember that track. And I remember its estrogen counterpart on the PANTHER soundtrack called "Freedom."

This transports me straight back to 1994... just prior D'Angelo's solo debut...

If I am correct Black Men United was written by D'...

that was a good soundtrack.....I liked the BMU track that was nice, Jamecia's "Rodeo Style" was hot, "Walk away" from Da 5 Footaz still love them girls, "Brother's & Sistas" Jayo Felony was tight holding it down for San Diego however I prefer the explicit version of this song. J.Quest "Up and down" was nice, and Oleata Adams "Many river's to cross" was very touching.

Man, this takes me back....

This soundtrack was definitely in the top five of the wave of 90s soundtrack albums. I used to play "Jesse James" on repeat - and I bet "U Will Know" would still give me goosebumps to this day.

And yes, Cookie, "U Will Know" was written (and produced, I believe) by a then-unknown D'Angelo.

Cool soundtrack. I've got some not-so-fond memories of the song "Candy Man" and a bottle of Everclear. confused
