I remember Musical Youth, they had that "Pass the Dutchie" song out in the early 80's. That is one annoying song that grated on my nerves big time. err
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

...So I stopped to find out what was going on
(how does it feel when you've got no food?)
'Cause the spirit of Jah, you know He leads you on.
(how does it feel when you've got no food?)
There was a ring of dreads and a session was there in swing
(how does it feel when you've got no food?)
You could feel the chill as I seen and heard them say
(how does it feel when you've got no food?)

Pass the dutchie on the left hand side
Pass the dutchie on the left hand side

UptownDeb

I saw the "Pass the Dutchie" video the other day, and thought it was cute that they played their own instruments. At least I think they did. Today I heard that Jay-Z song (filmed at MSG, the one where everyone chants "Ho-va! Ho-va! Ho-va!") and heard a reference to "Pass the Dutchie."
