started as a rip-off of Radiohead

I quite like Muse. They're a lot more operatic and rockier than Radiohead.

Radiohead are a rip-off of Brian Eno and Pink Floyd.

Apart from their first hit, "Epic", they sounded NOTHING like the Chili Peppers.

just about every new wave act from the late '70s through the early '80s was a david bowie rip-off.

...Bowie and/or Roxy Music.

For the record, I reckon that Green Day sound more like the Undertones than any other band one could mention...

No way. The Peppers still kick ass, even if they have sold out by now. But come on now, when Faith came out, they were so trying to copy my boys.

oh, totally, which is probably why they didn't get much attention with that singer. but everything with patton from "angel dust" onwards is the true FNM sound.

beck has never "ripped-off" prince. he's given nods and paid tribute to him stylistically on ONE album, midnite vultures. beck is pretty original.

it's true that mike patton was very similar to anthony kedis in the early days but once they developed their style and sound in my opinion they became better than the chili peppers!

No way. The Chili Peppers reign supreme!

Interestingly enough, I was reading about the feud between Mike Patton & Anthony Kiedis. Apparently, The Chili's were trying to prevent Faith No More from playing at the same festival as the Peppers. Well, that's where itbegan anyway.
