Sorry, but I can't show my love for Creed. They suck and I'm glad they're finished.

Scott Stapp, graduate of They All Sound The Same songwriting school, can kiss my ass. What an awful band disbelief.

Nice to see not much love for Creed. I was worried when I saw the post. I guess I can relax now.

Fair enough. I can see why you don't like Creed, then.
I'm assuming you like Prince though. How do you reconcile this?

you're right, and I am not so fond of his religious stuff either. On they other hand Prince seems to speak his own language, using metaphors (sp.?) and stuff.....it gives space for own interpretation.

Not to mention the fact that Prince was (& still is) FUNKY!

why is it whenever someone starts a thread to "show your love" for a band or artist it always attracts negative comments sad

Fair enough you guys don't like Creed but there ARE people who do - leave this thread for them, yeah? wink

peace

That's one thing I've never understood either. It seems like every Appreciation Thread has more negative comments than positive.

I kinda liked Arms Wide Open. I don't get why everyone's hatin' on Creed....I'm not a fan or anything, but why the negativity?

nod I started a Delta Goodrem thread (she's an Aussie singer/songwriter) and not one positive comment neutral

I won't be starting another appreciation thread for anyone or any band again sad

Creed is sick, so ya'll haters can go somewhere. headbang

I mean, really, what other band has had the success that they had with lyrics about God and a root with spirituality? Plus, all of their albums have gone multi-platinum and Human Clay went Diamond (10 Mil).

I have all of Creed's albums, and I even have the Alter Bridge CD and those guys have never ceased to amaze me. They brought spirituality into a mainstream hard rock audience, so how could you not respect that?

Much love.

Although I couldn't really care for Scott Stapp singing God Bless America at the World Series... confused

Okay, let's explore.
I can't understand Bono in most of their songs so I am not sure of the lyrics.
But tell me this. Aren't most of their songs dealing with religion more cynical?

No. Especially considering every member except Adam Clayton professes to be born again believers.

At the very least people should give her props for actually being involved in writing her songs, playing an instrument, and having a really, really good voice that doesn't need to be tampered with.

Too bad she hasn't cracked America yet.

And she's damn classy. I'm gonna pre-order her new album from HMV Australia since I doubt it'll ever be released here.
