A strange one this, cos it fades out AT THE START and then fades back in again:

Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others - The Smiths...

confuse Why DOES it do that?!

I hate fade-outs - I much prefer a song with a proper ending - that's why live versions are better, for a start...

(Hey, Jack Flash, don't you wish Monkey Man had a proper ending, like the live version? )

I love Monkey Man, but I gotta say I'm having trouble visualizing it right now at work. I'll listen when I get home - thanks for the tip!

When the rock guitar comes back in "I can never take the place...", I always wished he'd go on for more than 20-30 sec.

i'll bet u got the version from the greatest hits 'cause on the album version it goes on 4 another 3 minutes...
ya know i hate the fact that marvin gaye's "i want you" and "after the dance" fade out at the good part....shit i would've just let the band play on and stretched "want you" 6 and made "dance" 8....

sly and the family stone - hot fun in the summertime

I'd second that and add "you caught me smilin' again" and "family affair."

Also, De La Soul's "Simply Havin'" from AOL:Bionix.

no, on SOTT the "jazzy" guitar solo goes on for 3 min, but the rock guitar finish is very short and abrupt

"Forever In My Life". I really like the acoustic guitar Prince starts playing and I have to crank the album as high as it can go, real-time, as it fades. mad

CINISTER CEE BEAT ME TO IT

"Forever in my Life", and I guess "Digital Garden" -- although the latter doesn't actually fade out it's a waste of a potentially strong song.

For the longest time I couldn't stand the "Heathen" album by David Bowie. It bothered me because the first song "Sunday" built up the exictment for the entire song. Then at about the 3:45 mark it the music picks up like you figured it was supposed to, then it fades out after a minute. I still don't like the regular version too much, But the Moby mix is really fun.

p.s. I've since gotten over it and fallen in love with the rest of the album.

Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick - Ian Dury...just as the music starts to get a head of steam, it fades out. Very irritating.

The album version of Prince's "Little Red Corvette". I love to hear Prince scream and the first time I ever heard it, the scream was faded way down at the end. I said "Damn!".

When the 12 Inch came out, I absolutely loved it. The scream was great and it was followed be the drums, claps, and "mayday".
