How many BBC/Peel Sessions do you own?

I only have three: Siouxsie and The Banshees, Xmal Deutschland and Curve. I want to get Fuzzbox and the Cocteau Twins BBC sessions.

Joy Division
The Smiths
Gang of Four
Wire
The Fall
New Order
Cocteau Twins
Chameleons
Birthday Party
Only Ones
Siouxsie & The Banshees
The Ruts
Buzzcocks

Plenty more, but this what I can remember. It's a pity he's gone, I sometimes perferred the Peel sessions over the studio versions. The Only Ones peel sessions are much more superior than the album versions for example.

I only own 2: The Specials BBC sessions and The Smiths, Hatful of Hollow.

But I have had the pleasure of hearing many BBC sessions produced by John Peel, including The Selecter, Joy Division, Gang of Four, Duran Duran, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Madness, The Slits, The Pop Group, Adam & the Ants, The Jam, The English Beat, and so many others that I can't name right now.

And John Peel definitely did his thing as a producer. And he had nothing but nice things to say about The Smiths. I definitely am gonna miss him. sad

RIP, Mr. Peel. pray

I think the Nirvana covers on Hormoaning were Peel Sessions. Smashing Pumpkins has a Peel Sessions single from Gish that I've never picked up.

sigh I love Peel Sessions. I guess this means I'll never get to record one of my own, a dream of mine.

I have a whole mess of Peel Sessions. Can't think of them all at the moment.

Plenty on bootleg .... The Fall, Roxy Music, Nick Cave, The Smiths, New Order, Joy Division.

Radio 1 treated Peel shabbily at the end. Although he'd been diagnosed diabetic two years ago and was not a well man, they moved his slot to a later hour. A month ago he'd told a colleague the new schedule was "killing" him.
