I think another thing to take into consideration is the body of work they have.

What 8 by George and 19 by Simon including his Solo stuff like what 20-22

Pound for Pound I would say Simon Le Bon is.

Because he seems to able to product a lot more which proves that its readily ava. WHERE as it takes 8 yrs for George to get a new album. I mean I could have even produced a hit album in 8 yrs it only takes 4 yrs to get a Undergrad degree in music and then in 4 more yrs i could have taken that knowledge and done something with it.. MY GOODNESS

ALSO OUT OF THE 8-10 songs George does one or two are remakes or samples of something else not his... and i am willing to bet he sorta takes stuff from others on a lot of the other songs he does.


As for the Quality of the Voices

Simon is French and George is Medeteranian not that far apart. its like going from Georgia to New York.

They are both very Unque and have a nice tone. George has a little bit Richer tone but Simon has a better range.

George Michael is a fine singer, Simon too, but Simon sometimes has a false note (or at least he did) But I like the sound of Simon's voice better (Unique) so it'll be Simon

Are you really comparing the two? Simon LeBon has a decent voice, but I don't think it's ever been spectacular. There's no denying his power as a front man, but his voice doesn't stand out for me. George Michael, on the other hand, has a superb pop/soul voice. He's got nice range, and I love the tone of his voice.

Ridiculous comparison, really, since they are nothing alike.

George has a much better voice, no doubt about it. Simon has much more stage presence, and that's just as important. Simon is also the superior lyricist (and an incredibly under-rated one at that)

Still, both are great at what they do, and comparing them is kinda silly (although, I will say that both have ventured into musically similar territory at spots on their newest albums. Heck, "Bedroom Toys" is the best George Michael song not written or recorded by George Michael)!

Simon is more aboyt having a distinctive sound.
It grates on me after a while, though. I can't
stand his howling on 'Wild Boys'...But, then
I love it on 'A View To a Kill'..

Lyrically they are both great. Vocally it has to be George.

IMO - there is no question at all. George Michael is far more talented than Simon. I was never a Duran Duran fan and never will be.

I was also a Boy George groupie. I met him twice. He was not the nasty snotty bitch I thought he was going to be. He was huge, very tall and chubby. The sweetest guy. He signed around 10 12" singles for me and my partner at the time. This was way back in 1992 or so. It was after he was finally let back into the country.

The fact that this is even debated is funny to me.

This board CAN'T be serious. George Michael sings circles around Simon Le Bon. They aren't even in the same league.

Yeah, that questions was stretching it a bit. George has more of a soulful sound and he just carries tunes effortlessly, IMO. Although I am listening to Simon these days. Somebody brought up Boy George, now that would be a better debate.

Again Boy George has more soul then Simon.

As much as I love both singers, I'm definitely going with George. Simon may have the swagger, but George has the soul.
