ERYKAH BADU WORLD WIDE UNDERGROUND! BEST ALBUM OF 2003!

While everyone lost thier mind over "Love below/speakerboxx...I think that 3000's ex wife delivered the best album of the year...It's sonically amazing it's like futuristic soul! (only way I can describe the sound) anyway just thought I would start an apprectian thread for this CLASSIC!

Heard one or two songs from it. That was more than enough for me. confused
"On and On" & "Bag Lady" are great songs. "Mama's Gun" is a good album. Besides that... barf

But I'm glad u like the album. thumbs up!

i love this cd! definitely one of my favorites from...2003!?! has it already been a year since that came out? damn. anyway, yeah, i liked it more than outkast. i just couldn't get into most of speakerboxx and pretty much stuck to love below (which is a-mazing!).

I, too, feel this is her best album to date. Mama's Gun went over my head. Aside from "Bag Lady" and "Didntchukno" the album left me zzz

I guess her latest didn't get much airplay beyond "Back In the Day (Puff)", and that's why it was slept on. I love "I Want You," and as a whole it's worth listening from beginning to end. It seems like these days if the music isn't being forced down your throat or in your ear, it will end up being ignored for the most part.

I love the production and songs on Mama's Gun (even the original version of "Bag Lady") but I ignored this Extended-Play.

I'm waiting for another Long-Play.

i like mama's gun. i bought 3 times cause one was stolen and the other my kids scratched up. and i'd buy it again. there are virtually no songs to skip over. i like world wide but i couldn't into it as much as mamas gun. i only found like 3 or 4 tracks that i like on world wide.

Right!!! Mama's Gun was the best album of 2000. I liked it better than D'Angelo's Voodoo. Conversely, Worldwide Underground was so underwhelming it's not even funny. I cannot get over anyone liking WWU over Mama's Gun...amazing. neutral

U mean the album with 7 1/2 songs on it? It had some wonderful music on it. A couple of songs were groundbreaking I will admit. I just wish she sang more. It was more of an instrumental but it came off!

She's not Dre's ex wife.

Well, the best album in 2003? I doubt it!!

The album to me has the same vibe as "LOVE DELUX" by Sade....

Maybe not better, but have you considered that Mama's Gun is actually comparable to Voodoo?

Mama's Gun has better individual tracks, but WWU has a great flow to it.
It is an EP, not a proper album, so I took it with a grain of salt.

Oh, Mama's Gun reminded me of Voodoo, too. The production is very similar.

Erykah is Andre 3000's ex wife...and I really do believe it has the same vibe as "LOVEDELUX" it's cruisy aalmost sterile/electronic based soul
