This is the thing I love about this whole mess. Ashlee's made her entire career out of the attitude that, "My sister's this perfect, pretty pop star and that's just not me, cuz I'm a rock chick." Bitch please. If Jessica wasn't your sister, nobody would care about you. So quit dissing your meal ticket. And this just shows that she was right. Jessica may be a bird-brained fluff bucket, but she can really sing and does all the time. And she has a sense of humor about herself. If she only had better songwriters and songs, she could have some decent material. But she can sing. You're right Asslee, you're definitely not your sister.

That GIRL wasn't paying attention...

If u listen in the video it was just her vocals that were on the CD that was playin not the band... she screwed up.

Whats the Music Industry gets for have NON MUSICIANS filling in the shoes of the REAL DEALS ...

I hope she is over because its a shame those people that bought her CD have wasted their money on a talentless teenager I mean its was a pretty simple 2/4 beat 1 2 START SINGING U DUMB FOOOOL 3 4 I JUST RAN OUT THE DOOR.

I am SO late on this, but I have to comment.
Personally, I LOVE this. The whole thing. It's absolutely beautiful.
The dance, the looks on everyone's faces. What an irresistable train wreck.
I agree with most of the sentiments here so far. I can see no reason why she couldn't have just stopped the band and had them start over playing the correct song. The fact that the backing track was so important says a lot. She'd rather walk off the stage than have the band start over with the correct song. BUT NO, since the backing track was obviously cued up incorrectly, that meant she'd have no added vocal support, and Ashlee ain't havin' that!
Singing on top of a backing track has got to go. For that matter, lip-synching has got to go! It's pointless in my opinion. Why couldn't she just have a nice heaping helping of reverb? That normally helps out a mediocre singer. Wow, it seems as though some people want to put forth as less effort into a performance as humanly possible. On top of that, you show everyone that you have no rapport with the band . I would love it if little knomes went around rigging the sound systems of all these so-called performers, exposing them completely. Little gremlin-like knomes just sabotaging all of 'em. That'd be hilarious. It would also be a wake up call to everyone involved in the fakery that goes on in popular music. I hope that day comes. To quote KRS-One; "Hmmmm.....justice."

I wish more people would've watched her show. It's a perfect case study. Mr. Pimpson made the mistake of showing more behind the scenes then he should've. Everyone who watched clearly saw and heard that this chick couldn't sing. She never once got it right on camera. She sang over and over again and just couldn't get it right. She had a vocal coach come in and she couldn't do that. She seems to lose her voice by just merely talking.
