Al B Sure "night and day" VS Dino "24/7"

Both these songs seemed to of come out at the same time (1988 I think) and whilst "night and day" is a sorta club classic, Dino's surprisenly soulful "24/7" sounds very simular and is just as soulful, if not more so! Infact, maybe Dino's song came out fisrt?

Dino gets bigger props in one sense as he poduced, arranged, wrote his on his own, which was cool.....Al b's is still a jam though!

So I prefer Dino's "24/7" over Al B Sures "night and day", how about u?

I like both of these songs and yes, they are kinda similar, aren't they?

So it's a tie lol

Speaking of Dino...does anyone remember Dino's song "Never Too Much Of U",an overlooked single from his '24/7' album? That's the song that made me go out and buy his album.

Oh my god! I used to love 24/7 by Dino but Al B. Sure is the man. I might have to give to it Mr. Sure!

Whatever happened to Dino?

There is a fansite devoted to Dino that explains what he's been up to...

I know he recorded a few other albums after '24/7' but he pretty much faded away by the mid-90s.I liked his 1991 album and the superb remake of the 1984 Frederick hit "Gentle (Calling Your Name)".

I was amazed that he had a fansite! It's quite good too actually!

I had his "seingin'" album as well as "24/7"! I was never a big fan though! "romeo" and "swingin'" r slammin tracks!

"24/7" was by far his best track! Soulful too.....

I always thought that both of those songs (and also Ray Parker Jr's "After Dark") sounded like up-tempo variations on Janet Jackson's "Funny How Time Flies" ...I mean, it seemed like evryone was using a similar progression for a while...

ya'll jazz buffs might be suprised 2 know that on "24/7" jeff lorber's the 1n playin the keyboard fills which make's the whole song come alive 4 me....but as 4 these soundin similar 2 "funny how time flies", i always thought janet's "funny" sounded a lot like michael's "lady in my life or maybe janet jimmy and terry were at least inspired by it...

Jeff Lorber is all over keyboards on his "swingin" album too! Did he do any solo work? I'm pretty sure he did?.....

You know he's a syndicated radio host now? It's called the Secret Garden (fans know where that title came from). I haven't heard it, but I imagine it's love songs.

Woa, I sound like an Al B groupie!
