10:15 Saturday Night

Okay, it is 11:15 on a saturday night. Cure are playing on my stereo....and I join the dots...

I just came back from a harrowing day, emotionally. What started as a day that I had looked forward to, ended as a huge emotional drain...had to cancel a reunion with old classmates because I was just TOO filled with emotion.

So it is a joy to be sitting safely behind my desk at home and just press PLAY on my mp3 jukebox.

I am so glad for music in these moments....

But you know, if you listen carefully to that, it sounds like Eminem ripped that off for his "Academy Award Winning" song, "Lose Yourself".

I made a point of not being interested in hypes. Unles they make true their hype, like The White Stripes.

And what I really want to say is that music can be such a joy, a guide to your own feelings.

Lately all I play is Kate Bush, The Cure, Mozart, Bjork's Vespertine and the The Singing Detective's soundtracks.

I'm playing a lot of eels lately. Also Joy Division's 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' does it for me right now.

For sure. One of the few instances I can think of where an artist gave their fans exactly what they wanted. worship

Mozart

I've been listening to a lot of Mozart lately too. Reminds me of my Gran. Was the first and only music she ever gave me.

I am in AMADEUS regression.

I realised that movie is on the top of my BEST OF list most often.

REAL Jack White fans in the meantine bought the soundtrack for Cold Mountain and Loretta Lynn's album and KNOW the next album will be good, even if they decide to just play an Indian sitar.
