(in fact, i'm gonna play it right now... )I love King Britt, and have ever since When the Funk Hits the Fan. Anything he touches is pure gold. I saw him in Ghent a few months ago, and also saw him dj'ing in DC about two years ago and in philly about 5 or 6 years ago. Yep.. the OM label is very consistently high quality. That's their Temporarily Disconnected CD...It came out on Enemy records back in '95 although it may be out of print I see copies available all the time...Oh, and my Q tip/Kamaal is a boot... somebody grabbed the tracks off the Net and Fried 'em...not an original copy...That Is the cover it was supposed to have if Arista had put the damn thing out! Is this album good? I listened to part of it in the store when it first came out months ago and it seemed pretty monotonous and more like her first album than Duality but not as differentiated as the first so I never bought it even though I've been a life long fan of Dead Can Dance and have everything else by them (and her). Further question: would I be able to listen to it even if i'm NOT depressed?? 'Cause I wouldn't wanna have to make myself depressed just to get money's worth out of a cd. thanks. Change it one more time..

Do Y'all have King Britt presents Sylk 130 - ''Re-Members Only'' ? I like alot of the cuts on that one, particularly Vikter Duplaix on " I'll do it for You" and "For Love" featuring Grover Washington Jr.... I like alot of the cuts on that one, particularly Vikter Duplaix on " I'll do it for You" and "For Love" featuring Grover Washington Jr.... yep... got that too. it took me a while to get used to it because it's so different than the first Sylk 130. I love "ride your painted pony"! Clearly the best thing about his production style is his innovativeness on the bass programming. "All the way Live" is another one of those tracks that i luv to play during the summer... such a good party song. Change it one more time..

Well, I don't exactly have a qualified answer to give you. I'm very new to her music. My good friend, bratchild gave it and many Dead Can Dance cd's to me, and I'm just breaking the new one in. If it's any indication, I cry nearly every time I hear the title track. But not really cuz it's inherently sad. It's just so gorgeous. The closing song is wonderful too. From what I can gather about her, this is a really good album.

Right this minute I am listening to an annoying ringing noise that won't go away, brought on by my band playing far too loud last night.
It was in a pub with about 3 people watching, but you'd think it was Rock In Rio the volume they turned us up to.... Apart from that, Let It Bleed - Rolling Stones, Never Apologise Never Explain - Therapy? and some latin bar chill ambient stuff for work, that is chilling me out so much I would be asleep, were it not for the 300000dB fire alarm noise ringing in my head [Edited 10/22/04 3:56am]

KAZ/SUPERNOVA "THE SHI..."
I found out about this album online a few months back and it's Pure Fiya!!! I've been recomending it to anyone and everyone because I took a chance and found a gem. Prince.orgers should love this one. It's a diverse record, Hip Hop,Rock,Funk,Soul etc. Kina like a Wycleff But with a cool Prince influence ( and many others). This is a bomb ass album. I'm still wearing my copy out!!! Check it out y'all... I'm LOVING the new De La. Not a bad track on it, and the title track is one of the best thing they've done in years.
I was really disappointed by Mos Def, though. If he's going to the live music thing, he needs a better band, and his lyrical outlook suddenly seems a little sour. My suprise find: Rilo Kiley's More Adventurous. Nothing revolutionary, just a great little rock-pop band with terrific lyrics. [Edited 10/22/04 10:07am] [Edited 10/22/04 10:08am]
