I use to love The System! I have theis album somewhere but Don't Disturb This Groove was a favorite but I had my keyboard andn fake microphone stand to do You're In My In My System. Met Mic Murphy chomping down in Junior's in Brooklyn a million years ago. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yeah he was very cool from what I remember. I developed a crush on him after that. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

"You are in my system" is the joint. But, I'm really not crazy about the title cut from the movie "Coming to America". (I love the movie, though.)

weren't they featured in the movie Beatstreet if I remember correctly? I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

Mic Murphy and david Frank, were also responsible for attitudes "we got the juice"

David Frank went on to become a film composer. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0006080/
When I was interning at Westlake Audio Studios, David came in to work on the "I'll Do Anything" project, which at that time still featured Prince's songs. He produced several sessions with both a children's choir (on "WOW") and Tracey Ullman (on "Don't Talk To Strangers") until the word came that the musical idea was being 're-thought'. Nice guy too. I still remember the thrill of touching the actual 2" master tapes of Prince & The NPG's versions of the songs that were going to be on the soundtrack. I was such an unabashed geek, then. Now I'm more...abashed.

People forget their underated (and then dated) 1989 album "rythem and romance"!
"wicked" and"face the music" slam very hard and "midnight special" is a classic slow jam! "i wanna be your lover" is funky too! I liked "coming to america" song.....very upbeat and fun to dance too! [Edited 10/21/04 2:32am]

My favorite joints are "Soul To Soul" and "Have Mercy". Absolutely excellent tracks! Love the syncopated synth bass!
Love & Light, Quietsoul "No sex can be safer, it's a pill wrapped in a little piece of paper."
