nod I went through that exact same phase in 1997. That year, all I watched were John Hughes' Brat Pack flicks, Breakin' 1 & 2 - Electric Boogaloo, Fast Forward, Krush Groove, etc. I bought Chaka Khan's I Feel For You LP, Midnight Star, RJ's Latest Arrival, Janet's Dream Street, Bill Summers & Summer's Heat, Zapp & Roger, etc. I started taking up breakdancing, I was doing leg spins and floor work on cardboard and even rented old "How To Breakdance" videotapes from mom & pop video stores. Color me obsessed!

Yeah, that was the same year Puff Daddy & The Family was dominating the charts and the radio. I was dying for something different -- so I fully immersed myself in the '80s.
