Madonna and Celine are related! Are Madonna and Celine Dion related?
That’s the claim being made by genealogist Troy Dunn, who traced back the ancestry of the two very different songbirds and found they shared roots. Dunn, of MyFamily.com says that the company contacted both Madonna and Dion with the happy news. “Madonna’s people had no comment,” he said. “Celine’s people were horrified.” Dunn also claims that George W. Bush and John Kerry are related. They’re distant cousins, he revealed on "The View," so the election “is one big family fight.” | |

Weird. Two people I cannot stand (Celine and W) are related to two people I really dig (Maddy and Kerry).

When I was on MSN.com a few months ago, an ancestry.com pop-up ad featured the Madonna/Celine connection. Of course, I clicked it to see exactly how they were related. Apparently the two are distantly related through the ancestors of the Fortin clan of Quebec, Madonna's mom's side of her family. Madonna's mom was of French-Canadian descent. Small world. Weird....

I wonder why the genealogist decided to reveal these facts. I bet Celine is having a hissy fit knowing that there is a possibility that she is related to Esther.
