Interesting Liner Notes I was reading the New Power Soul liner notes and under the thank u's the following names are listed:
o(+> , Mayte, Jacqui Thompson, Willie Donwell, Parke, Billy Sparks,Opnmind, Milv, Evolve2001, Manuella T. and Love4Oneanother Charities, Inc. He has quite a bit of nerve to thank his current and future wife on the same album. What do you guys think about this? The message you're about to hear is not meant for transmission

I don't think he knew he was gonna date Manuella at this time. New Power Soul was released in 1998.
When Prince was promoting NPS, he was still very much involved with Mayte - she even directed the video for "The One". Besides, the "thanking" got to be more of a symbolic gesture than an actual credit. | |
