Pat Boone in a Metal Mood... lemme hear it from ya'll I first heard this album way back when it was released, I haven't heard it since. I thought it was great, but I unfortunately did not buy it at the time. I can not find it in stores, only on the internet. Has anybody else ever hear it in here, and what did you think? Check out the track listing and sounds at amazon.com

My dad was given this CD when he turned 50 as a joke! This is a hilarious and atrocious abomination of an album, but I have to praise Pat for his efforts. Just thinking about those terrible covers makes me wanna.... wanna.... "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

I got a promotional copy of this CD when I worked at my college radio station in the late 90's. It was funny, though after a few listens the joke kind of wears thin. "Love Hurts" was surprisingly good though, Pat Boone's take of it was mournful, like a melancholy torch song. "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" was amusing and "The Wind Cries Mary" had me howling.
It's another one of those kitschy albums that crack me up, like "Sesame Street Fever", the Sesame Street disco album with Grover on the cover dressed as Travolta. ~Using the Fat Albert emoticon 'cause no one else is... ~
