How come dutch people don't like Depeche Mode?

This is something I wonder about for years now. I live in the Netehrlands, and sometimes i feel like the only person who really digs Depeche Mode.

When they tour, they never visit Holand, last time was 93???? I think. I always have to go to Belgium for their shows....

I'm wondering why they are very popular in countries like Germany and Belgium and France, and not in the Netherlands??? They are very underrated overhere.

Anyone got any idea?

One thing I got to admit though. To me DM never rivaled their Violator album, which still stands as classic.

They are moody music makes, but I like that. I love Blue Dress and Painkiller.

I was an early DM fan. But Violator blew off my knickers, so to speak. From the first song to the last, there is not one song I skip on that album. Ever.

sure, but Gahan does not have an ounce of originality... I have seen them live at Beachrock in Zeebrugge years ago, and it was Gahan's stupid posing that killed the show. BTW, they are not at all exciting to see live!

Gahan is just Martin Gore's willing tool...but I will not slash a band just cuz they sucked once live.

Yep....and his solo career is getting nowhere! Bring back Vince Clarke!

just saying that the one time I saw them it was bad, I am in no way a DM-fan (I do like some of their songs), therefore I didn't care for seeing them once more.

I love them too. I was fortunate to see them live and it was stunning! My friend and I sat there at the concert end mesmerized while the whole audience left ~ we just couldn't move.

confused They are F*cking awesome live!!!! Dave is not really a dancer or soemthign (thank God) but he is SOOOOO into his music, he lives it on stage, and the band live is really cool!!!! So it is EXCITING to see them live!

It is already out, but that is just an album which they should not release!

If you like Violator that much people, just give Exciter a try!! I love that album too... Even Songs of faith and devotion is a great album, but a little more rock than Violator,

nod Exciter is definitely one of my favorite DP albums. Even Dave has went through a lot over the years, he is still looking good. DP's live show really kicks ass.
