Cornershop "When I Was Born For the 7th Time" Appreciation Thread I haven't listened to this for quite a long time, then I tossed it in the stereo for background music while I was doing chores around the apartment...and MY GOD, I forgot what a beautiful piece of pop music this album is. "Brimful of Asha" is of course the obvious classic from this album, but "Good To Be On the Road Back Home" is just gorgeous. Anyone else a fan of this album? I think I'm gonna need this weekend to play it over and over and get it out of my system.

I wonder what happen to this group.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM!!!
It's just quirky-pop perfection. Sadly, they are one of the most disappointing bands I've ever seen live. But, I've accepted that and learned to just love them on my stereo. GOOD SHIT

They released another CD in 2002, "Handcream for a Generation." While not as strong, IMO, as "When I Was Born..." it still has a lot of good tracks. I'm not sure what they've been doing since, however.

Yes, this is a good CD. But even better than that is an older one called "Woman's Gotta Have It" They also released one called "Handcream for a Generation" about 2 years ago…but that one did nothing for me. Go get "Woman's Gotta Have It," NOW!

I really enjoy "Woman's..." Especially the "Jullandar Shere" tracks, but it didn't get me quite as much as "When I Was Born..."
