It's such a shame really how Jimi's music has been totally taken advantage of. So much that has been released post Hendrix should have not even been released. U have people "finishing" tracks that Jimi didn't get to complete. I know Jimi has turned over in his grave so many fucking times behind this shit. Alan Douglas, Mitch Mitchell AND Eddie Kramer needed to have gotten their ass whooped for being behind a lot of that shit. To pimp somebody after they're not here to defend themselves is extremley punkish. Anyway, start by listening to anything that Jimi was alive when it was released, and u can't go wrong, really. Have you heard the 13 or so minute "unreleased" version of "3 Little Bears"? After the place it usually fades they move into an extended jam of something else...
