eric clapton's version of jimi hendrix "stone free"

stony free -eric clapton version is the best hendrix tribute song .
before i heard that song i always thought
eric clapton was overrated on guitar.
but when i heard that mean solo,
i just couldn't belive it it was eric playing it.
i thought it was yngwie malmstein because it was furios, fast ,wild.
anyone else heard stone free by eric clapton?

Lame, boring. One of the worst things on that album. I was expecting Eric to really rip it up on this tune, but no.
Keep your headphones on.

I've heard it...off the Stone Free tribute album (from around 93 I believe).

I thought it was pretty good....can't recall the solo but remembered thinking at the time that it was nothing on Jimi.

Sorry to douse your post with a little water...I just don't remember it as anything too special.

shrug
