Mariah Carey - Always Be My Baby Video Remember this? I just saw it again. Hadn't seen it in years. Hilarious stuff. Mariah playing around on a swing while the narrative is played out between two 12-year-olds at day camp. What a clumsy SNOOZE-FEST! She was better when she was goody-goody but Tommy obviously wouldn't let her near any boys so she couldn't have a love interest in the video. But Mariah, alas, is responsible for this crap since she supposedly "directed" it.
Which means she winds up looking great but not much else happens.

She looks beautifull in this video. I have seen worse videos (anyone seen mtv lately)
Great album! those were the days, girlfriend wrote and co -produces her album, sings the hell out of it like no other singer and directed her videos in this era all while looking cute and go 10X platinum in 4 months, they just don't make them like that anymore p.s her new album is been released mid January 2005 . The video was 'nice'. But I agree, she should've had a love interest. But then again, she is singing about a 'lost love' of sorts. So I guess it works.
Anyway. One of her best songs. And her very best song IMO, is on the b-side of that one. It's called "SLIPPING AWAY".

I think he might be talking about the OBD remix version the song that started a million and one hip hop and r&b callaborations, something for mariah to be proud of? maybe not, still love the song [Edited 10/14/04 21:01pm]

What Twink said. Pretty much every single she released after ended up being urban to some extent.

Oh yeah... "LONG AGO". That's the song right there. I made my own Mariah compilation some time ago and put "Long Ago" & "Slipping Away" back to back. Best two songs from that era.
