Michael Jackson angered at Eminem over video mocking

Michael Jackson angered at Eminem over video mocking

Associated Press

http://www.miami.com/mld/...571.htm?1c

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson is angered by the way he is mocked in rapper Eminem's recently released video "Just Lose It" and has asked cable music stations to remove the video from their rotations.

"I am very angry at Eminem's depiction of me in his video," Jackson said Tuesday in an interview with comedian Steve Harvey on the Los Angeles radio station 100.3 FM. "I feel that it is outrageous and disrespectful. It is one thing to spoof, but it is another to be demeaning and insensitive."

In the video, Eminem appears dressed mockingly as Jackson, who has pleaded not guilty in Santa Barbara County to child molestation, conspiracy and administering alcohol to an underage companion.

Eminem, costumed as Jackson, is seen with a group of boys in the background, jumping around as he sings about Jackson's child molestation allegations: "Come here little kiddie, on my lap. Guess who's back with a brand new rap...."

"I've admired Eminem as an artist, and was shocked by this," Jackson said in the radio interview, according to a transcript provided by his publicist. "The video was inappropriate and disrespectful to me, my children, my family, and the community at large."

Later in the video Eminem also ridicules plastic surgery done on Jackson's nose, and an accident in which Jackson's hair caught on fire while filming a Pepsi commercial in 1984.

So far, only Black Entertainment Television has agreed to pull the video. The network's president and founder, Robert Johnson, said he felt it was inappropriate to disparage a celebrity.

And the parents of the kids who shared Michael's "Love" are angered too.

Swings and roundabouts.

I'm finding it pretty funny that he admired him back when he was just making fun of gays and killing women. I could give a shit less about Eminem either way (he's hardly dangerous to anyone and is probably in the closet) but I like that people are upset that he is making fun of Michael Jackson. What a joke!

Protected under "Parody" rights

MJ can whine all he wants,
the only way he can do something about it, is if the video is liable to tamper with the Jackson Jury Pool
thus the The video will be put on a court order ban to be showed until the outcome of the trial
Celebrity Image Rights Vs First Amendment...

Eminem is covered...

i doubt MTV and VH1 will give in
cause they're a bunch of bloody hypocrites

Like I said in the other thread, I usually don't give a crap about Eminem either way -but regardless of whether or not Michael's guilty, I thought the video was just plain tacky and unfunny.

I just wish Michael Jackson would stop acting like a little beyotch for once in his life. rolleyes I mean take responsibility for SOMETHING. Album sales drop and he accuses the president of his label of racism. Concerts don't sell as well, and it's 'poor promotion'. I think he's reached a point where people have stopped coming to his defense. I'm sure this Eminem VS. M.J. thing will get blown out in attempts to mask something else.

Again. Not defending Eminem at all. He's a no talent piece of shit anyway. And eventually will get his. nod

Eminem will stop at nothing to get a little controversy. In the past,he wrote lyrics about raping his mother and killing the mother of his child....he wrote offensive, violent lyrics against gays. And now he's making light of something as serious as child molestation.I just think there are some things that you shouldn't spoof or joke about. It's a cheap publicity stunt to sell records. And I'm not defending Michael or anything.I think his bizarre behavior with young children is wildly inappropriate and if he's guilty,he should be punished.

Michael Jackson needs to shut up and be quiet. The fact that he even responded to the video is just what Eminem wants. That's what that little bleach blonde closet bitch does for a living is make fun of other people. What else can you do to make a name for yourself when you have no talent? Michael Jackson's response is only going to make Eminem an even bigger star now.

Michael wants to look like Prince so much but he doesn't have the strength that Prince has to just not care or respond to what other people think.

Isn't Eminem the same bitch who denied Weird Al permission to mock him in a "Lose Yourself" parody? Yet he feels it's okay to take shots at other celebs in his own videos? What a hypocritical asswipe! mad

Personally, I'm glad BET decided to pull that garbage. It should've been denied rotation for being a horrible song in the first place.... ill

I wouldn't go as far as saying he deserves it. But he sure has made some questionable choices throughout his life.

Some of you talk about Eminem being a no-talent ass wipe but I don't see any of you selling the amount of records he does. I guess he has something you don't. He writes better rhymes than most of the rappers out there today. I can't stand most rap music but I think Eminem has a great style. I think the video is hilarious. If MJ can't handle being mocked then get the fuck out of the entertainment business.

Go on Eminem. Keep on doing your thing! thumbs up!

Umm nobody is professing to be a greater or more successful musician than Eminem.

There are plenty of people with limited talent who have made it big and sold millions of records.

I think some of his music is clever but all in all I find him boring and limited.

If the only way Eminem can get attention is by putting other people down, then I feel sorry for him. That is something Michael Jackson has never had to do. He got to where he is through hard work and talent.

I never said anyone professed to being greater or more successful. Just that a few people said he had no talent when I don't see them selling shit.

Plenty of people have great talent and do nothing simply because they don't know what to do with it. Eminem was at least talented enough to recognize the talent he does have and make a great living because of it.

So basically you're saying that we can't pass judgement on a musical artist until we sell thousands of records too.

Okay - shall we pack this up and go home now then?

You can pass judgement all you want. That's what people do here. But to say the guy has no talent. Please. He has more talent in his pinky finger than most.
