I'm surprised that nobody said Oasis' (What's The Story) Morning Glory. That's definitely got to be one of the best sophomore releases ever.

Mama's Gun - Erykah Badu Voodoo - D'Angelo When the Pawn - Fiona Apple (Hey, what's the deal with eponymous second albums....??) Donny Hathaway - Donny Hathaway Sheryl Crow - Sheryl Crow Prince - Prince Actually, I've been listening to Prince's sophomore effort quite a bit recently, and I really like it. Kind of a bright, upbeat pop record, but starts to give you an impression of his talent and his potential. I got For You a few months back, and i don't think it's anywhere near as good. You really see a progression between those early albums.... (Ok, now I'm rambling.....) Tori Fixx - The Mochasutra (2000) -- great sophomore album. A hip hop classic.
