Mos Def - The New Danger

Bought this today. It's superb. Buy now.

Sorry about the face. The term "gangsta" just does something to me. Nah, Mos Def is a pretty eclectic cat. He even fronts a rock outfit with members of Bad Brains, Living Colour, and P-funk. He and Talib Kweli released an all out classic under the moniker Blackstar. Definately hip hop with a conscious, heart, and Brain. Not to turn this into an infomercial, his 1st solo joint( Black on Both Sides) is pretty hot as well.

Yes, but there's some rock thrown into the mix. Some of the lyrics are bitter and brooding. Definitely a dark album. "Black On Both Sides" was a lot more up.

hmm song he did on leno last night was kind of wild. it was alright, i'll probably wait until one of my friends get it and listen to their's and decide if i want to buy it or not.

You're probably right about Ali's album gettin slept on. When's the release date on this anyway? And..I still think one of the better albums that came out was Blackstar w/Mos Def and Talib.
