"MoonWalker" is a cult classic!

Yep, the whole movie is just so weird!

Plus also has Joe Pesci as the silly bad guy who wants everyone to be "high" on heroin I think?

The bit where Michael is running from him through the dark alleys is classy stuff! Very cool still!

Plus, on a serious note, this movie was one of the last things Michael did where he could self parody himself as he does in a few places in this movie (the "wanted" sign on the kids "bad" sequence is such an obvious parody, but still.....and in fact the "most wanted" sign has funny implications now of course)

Movie is such a weird mix of nonsense.....it's great!

As 4 the bit with Mike and kids in the meadow? What the fuck? Great stuff anyway!

U gotta love this movie? Whats ur fav part?

This movie is so funny!

It's got children in it = Paedophile.

I think that's what he means! confuse

Quite a leap of logic MrSquiggle if that's what you're implying, I hope Tom Sneddon is reading this, he should nip down Blockbusters and use a copy as evidence.

he's also mentioned in 'The Goonies'! That's full of children too!!! omfg

Yep it's disgusting all those times he donated money to those less fortunate than himself. When i think back to that time when he bought a child who was the victim of a driveby shooting a headstone because his family couldn't afford one, it sickens me.

As does all those millions of $'s he contributed to the NAACP and the United Negro college fund, Why bother? I mean, he aint black!!! what a freak! rolleyes

And that whole USA for Africa thing, he was just copying Bob Geldof! What a loser. There were hundreds of American Artists who would have been prepared to write a song! Why did he feel compelled to get off his arse first?

what a scumbag! lol

I realize MJ's concern for the world and the effort he has put into charities and such. Good for him, and where the fuck did i say otherwise.

We're discussing his obsession with children. His invitations to Neverland ranch for the kiddies. How he doesn't like talking with adults.
He is so obsessed with children the man thinks he IS a kid.
He cries about how he's never had a childhood, fine. But his childhood has lasted over 20 fuckin years, and all that time he keeps saying the same shit "no birthdays, christmas, parties, playing."
Guess what MJ, you were a friggin Jehova Witness and guess how many other children don't get the same shit you cried about.
So he has to make it up by inviting children to his bedroom to play. And some of them face his hand.....

And MJ has money to burn. How do you know all his charities and friendliness wasn't all just a cover up for the real show that was running, behind the curtains.
Remember his kiss with Lisa Marie at the VMAs, LOL, that was a cover up. That was him trying to tell the world to smoke in their pipes that he was straight.

I know you didn't mention his charity stuff, that was a general comment not aimed at you particularly.

Anyhoo, onto your post.

If it's innocent, is it really THAT bad how he thinks?

I know people have formed opinions on the man and it's highly unlikely, but if it could be proved beyond any doubt he'd never done anything improper with any child, how bad would some people feel about how they've judged him?

My own personal take on it, is his naivety made himself an easy target for certain less than honest people. That's about as sinister as it gets with MJ IMO.

The nostalgia thing is y I like it! And yes, this is a stoners movie, but I can watch it without.....though only in segments!

Come on he turns ito a car 4 christs sake! How cool is that! In "cult" I sorta mean crap but good and Michaels acting is funny to say the least!

The "speed demon" bit kicks ass too!

The tagline was bang on the money:- "a movie like n other"

U name another movie that has segments like this that make no real sense?

I know the retrospective is ego gone mad, but i like the way the film makers added new graphics to the videos, like the wings in the "rock with you" video! lol

I like MJ, but I find that movie kinda boring (except for the "Smooth Criminal" sequence which salvages the film, being that it is his greatest videoclip*).

*well what do you call a 'short film' if it is embedded inside Moonwalker?

Beats the shit outta "ghosts" anyway!

Who the fuck concieved "moonwalker" anyway?

"we'll do michael turning into a rabbit riding a bike, dancing with a rabbit, a music video thrown in, a story where Michael saves kids, turns into a car, a robot, have joe Pesci and John lennons son in it and a kids version of "bad" with concert footage at beginning and end!"

Sounds like ur avergae pop star movie to me!

Thats why this movie rules, 'cause it does not go 4 a straight boring story driven film like mariah carey or Spice girls did!
