I just bought the ltd edition of Astronaut!

It is packed in a dvd package with an awesome splitted booklet. by turning different pages you can creat nice pics!
The outlay is really cool, and so is the album!!!
There's also a dvd with it, but I didn't watch that one yet!

So all Duranies..... Go buy Astronaut, you won't regret for sure!!!

Can't WAIT to see the dvd! 1 hour behind the scenes documentary with 5 live tracks!!!! I gotta wait til Tuesday. How did you get it so early?

erm... I actually Love the whole album...just finished it listening for the 1st time, and there is no song which bores me!!!!!
But i've waited sooo long fot this album, so IM HAPPY TODAY!!!!

Just finished watching the dvd!!! This one is also very nice!!!
Great songs (Simon sings sooooo good) and nice look behind the scenes, and interviews.

Nick is even talking about Prince (one sentence...but he does mention him!! )

Andy ends the dvd with a great line;
I think we're back.....(smiles) for quite a while perhaps!!!!

I'm listening to Taste the Summer right now...

I think many of theirs get a bad rap because they're not rehashing "Ordinary World" or "Come Undone", which are great songs, but albums like Medazzaland get a bad reputation because they aren't more of the same.

Astronaut is the first studio album from Simon LeBon and the other four original members of Duran Duran in 21 years.

How has rock changed since you started out?

We were never considered a rock band 20 years ago. We were pop with a capital P.

You're an old family man now ...

I object to the word old.

O.K., you're a family man now. What do your daughters think of your old look?

They're mildly amused by it. But they also realize that there was something special going on for us guys then.

You've aged well. You all have your own hair.

We always had a very strong visual image. We try and maintain it. We're all in our 40s. That doesn't mean you've got to give up. My fashion guru is my wife. The best fashion advice she gives me is, "Simon, don't."

Any fashion regrets?

Nah. It's pathetic to have regrets about fashion. Things to do with my life, yes, I have regrets there. I would have had more sex. People should have as much sex as they possibly can, actually. And it doesn't have to be meaningful.

Maybe that's your antiaging tonic.

That I think about sex every two seconds? Quite possibly. We do a job that keeps a certain part of your psyche peeled and fresh. And we're happy. We're useful. We provide a service that helps people get through their lives. There's a certain childish naivete about the band which we've protected and kept.

Is the entire band married to models?

Someone's got to keep the models happy

No, I don't think so. (I don't really know what electro pop is...) It sounds like Duran Duran. The first half is more dancy, the second half is more rockish. I'm going to do a detailed review sometime soon, but I will mostly compare the songs to their older stuff. If you like Big Thing and Medazzaland, you'll like this.
