DEFINATLY MAYBE. Sure. I can think of much better. The Doors - self-titled The Ramones - self-titled Roxy Music - self-titled Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures The Cure - Three Imaginary Boys/Boys Don't Cry Tricky - Maxinquaye Bjork - Debut Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes Liz Phair - Exile In Guyville Madonna - Madonna Just to name a few.

I disagree. It's impossible to pick one album as the greatest debut.
I would say that Appetite For Destruction is better. (The live EP wasn't an album, so it doesn;t count) But many people would disagree. My Aim Is True was a great debut. So was Are You Experienced. So was My Generation. There are many great debuts. I just think it's impossible to pick one as the best.

No contest
Stone Roses by The Stone Roses. Not just the greatest debut, possibly the greatest full stop.

Pretenders, GNR, many others. Oasis doesn't have a tenth of the influence/quality that just these two and others mentioned have.

co-sign (thrice co-signed) Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

The greatest is a bit extreme, but some that impressed me were:
Are You Experienced - The Jimi Hendrix Experience Birth Of The Cool - Miles Davis Freak Out - The Mothers of Invention Inner Mounting Flame - The Mahavishnu Orchestra Can't Buy A Thrill - Steely Dan Weather Report - Weather Report Funkadelic - Funkadelic tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. It was definitely an ACTUAL hit up here. And when she came back with Jagged Little I thought her image makeover was drastic The "Too Hot" girl. Alot of the videos from that album are featured on the end of the new "Eight Easy Steps" video... yep that's Matt Leblanc! Her first album is very dance and has hiphop elements!
