Funkadelic's Maggot Brain on Westbound...fuck the cd version... the vinyl is the true experience.....

havent listened 2 that one in a while.

But i think prince's 12" singles sound HOOTT on vynl compared 2 they way on cd. It's like the Linn sounds kinda thin.

There are many albums that sound SO much better on vinyl. A guy just opened a new music shop across the street from me and he is carrying vinyl...new and old which is cool to see, but we were talking about this.

To name a few:

The Clash's 1st UK album should be heard on vinyl only.
Bruce Springsteen's The River.
Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life...this was on when I went into this guys store...and DAMN it made me want to dust my vinyl copy off...it sounded so much better.
..and of course, Sign o The Times.
I also agree about the 12" singles...especially Kiss & Mountains...is funky as hell on a turntable. on CD still awesome but not quite as cool.

Oh my god..."Summer Soft" "Have A Talk With God" are so beautiful on vinyl...u can hear that soft percussion and air .. cloud9
