what good is this? i just ordered the new Duran Duran cd from Amazon.com and after you purchase the album they give you a bonus stream in your locker of 6 tracks from the Duran Duran album i just bought..what good is this? i mean i just bought the album i want to wait until i get it and i dont wanna hear the songs i just paid for in an audio stream..it just seems kind of silly Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3 | |

i got something like that when i ordered annie lennox's last album through amazon.com. i think it's a way to get people to pre-order stuff, even though there's no guarantee that you'll get the product on the release date...so in the interim, you're not entirely being left in the dust while your friends are buying that new album on the release date.
i agree with ya though - it's kind of useless and silly. | |

One of the reasons I quit ordering from Amazon a few years ago is that they are notoriously LATE with pre-orders , often shipping after the release date.I sometimes had to remind them that I had a pre-order... 
Perhaps they have improved , lately? On the other hand ,Tower Records ,while being a little more expensive,ships preorders as soon as they have them, usually the Friday before,so that often you will recieve it on the day,or the day before its release... i pre-ordered a copy of the bowie reality tour DVD from amazon.com - if i don't get it within a day or two of the release next tuesday, i'll probably go ahead and buy it at beast buy and send my amazon.com copy to my mom. i'm getting her a copy anyway.  | |
