what are Garbage up to these days? I love this band but only rediscovered them after going a couple of years without through completely wearing their 1st two albums out.
I remember they were meant to be putting aout a b-side album which I was really looking forward to after already hearing some but then that never materialised and I lost interest. Anyone know if they have any plans for another studio album? | |

Okay, I think I can clear some of this up. Garbage was set to release a B-sides disc about a year after Garbage 2.0 came out. New songs were slated to be included, but when work began on the tracks, it eventually evolved into a full-blown album project. The b-sides album was put on the back-burner for the time being. The result of those sessions became Beautiful Garbage (which, if you don't own it, is a must-have).
A year or two ago, word was that a b-sides disc was in the works again. At this time, a "special collection" disc was also released in Japan by their record company (like seemingly everyone, Garbage is much bigger in Japan). The track listing was, as follows: 'Use Me' (Non-LP), 'Enough Is Never Enough' (Non-LP), 'Androgyny' (The Neptunes Remix) (Non-LP), 'Vow' (Live) (Exclusive To Japan) & 'Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go!)' (DJEJ's Go-Go Jam) (Exclusive To Japan). This was NOT the b-sides project that was being worked on though. As of yet, that still hasn't seen light of day, primarily due to Garbage being the victim of one of those "Corporate restructurings". The band has recently signed with Geffen, and Shirley says it may be released in the near future. Currently, the band is working on their fourth CD, entitled Hands On A Hard Body. Here's the tracklist, as of May: Be My Bad Boyfriend Run Why Don't You Come Over Guilty Its All Over But The Crying Sex Is Not The Enemy Hanging With The Bitches Why Don't You Love Me Calling All Girls Honeybee Bleed Like Me Right between The Eyes Space Can Come Through Anyone Nobody Can Win ----- [Edited 10/6/04 9:47am] Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones.
